Understand: Accepted Payment Methods

Discover which payment methods your donors can use.

RallyUp accepts a range of payment methods to make it as convenient as possible for donors to support your cause. The payment methods you can accept will depend on whether your organization is using Stripe or PayPal to accept payments.

Before You Begin

  • The funding option you choose will affect what payment options are available to your donors.
  • These payment options work best when donors have already set up Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal.

Stripe

Organizations using Stripe as a funding method are automatically set up to accept the following:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Apple Pay (shows for donors using Apple devices or Safari)
  • Google Pay (shows for donors using Android devices or Chrome)

You can also enable check payments at your preference.

PayPal

Organizations using PayPal as a funding method are automatically set up to accept the following:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • PayPal

You can also enable check payments at your preference.

Good to Know

  • You can change your funding method at any time from the Payment Processing tab in the left menu:

  • Any changes to your funding method will be applied to all active Experiences on your account. If you update your funding method while an Experience is live, only new donations will go to the new account. You’ll still have access to all previous donations in the previously connected account.
  • Check payments are limited to 10% of your total amount raised. If you need to collect more than this percentage, contact our customer success team by emailing success@rallyup.com or by logging into your account and clicking on the purple chat bubble in the bottom right corner of your screen:
