Why Didn’t My Donor Receive a Confirmation Receipt?

Learn how to view and resend the receipts for any donations on your experience.

A confirmation email is sent to every donor after they have contributed to a fundraiser on RallyUp. If you’ve been contacted by one of your donors because they didn’t receive a receipt, please have them check their spam folder first. Sometimes, automated emails will end up there due to the recipient’s security settings. If they’re still unable to locate the confirmation receipt, you can resend a donation receipt to your donor at any time from your experience management menu. Follow our step-by-step guide for resending a donation receipt.

Resend a receipt

  1. Go to your Experiences in the left menu.
  2. If you have chosen a list view, click on the title of your experience. If you have selected a grid view, click on the experience image.
  3. Click on View Donations*.
  4. Find the donation you’re looking for, hover over it, and in the three-dot menu on the right of that row, click Resend Donation Receipt*
  5. The email address associated with the donation will automatically appear. If you need to change the email address, you can do that here. Click RESEND

View a receipt

  1. Go to your Experiences in the left menu.
  2. If you have chosen a list view, click on the title of your experience. If you have selected a grid view, click on the experience image.
  3. Click on View Donations*.
  4. Find the donation you’re looking for, hover over it, and click View Receipt in the three-dot menu on the right of that row. 
  5. You can then copy the link of the receipt page and send it to anyone you would like to view. 

Good to Know

  • If you can’t find the donor in your list of donations/donors from your experience management menu and aren’t able to find their receipt, their transaction may not have processed successfully. In this case, they should try again.
  • Donors can also see their transactions by logging into their accounts. If they did not create an account at checkout, that’s no problem. They can simply create an account using the email address used to donate and then select a password. Once logged in, all of their transaction histories will be accessible. This is useful for confirming that a transaction was made successfully and reviewing the donation amount.
