Understand: Meta Pixel
Learn how Meta Pixel can help analyze traffic flow on your Campaign Pages and create effective ads.
Meta Pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to track and understand the behavior of supporters who visit any website. It can also help track conversions from Meta ads, pinpoint target audiences, and more.
When a user takes certain actions while visiting your organization’s Campaign Pages, Meta Pixel will record the action as a “standard event”:
- View content: Someone views a Campaign Page, Donation Page, Participant Center, or Participant/Team Fundraising Page
- Add to cart: Someone adds an item (e.g., Event Ticket, Store item, Raffle entry, etc.) to their cart
- Initiate checkout: Someone starts the checkout process
- Donate: Someone completes a transaction
You can also create more effective ads by:
- Targeting users who have already shown interest in your fundraisers (e.g., they’ve added items to their cart but did not complete a transaction)
- Finding new customers who are statistically likely to view or contribute to your Campaign
- Viewing conversion rates (how many users completed a transaction after clicking an ad) and measuring the success of a particular ad
You can learn more at the Facebook Help Center.
Before You Begin

- Log into your RallyUp account, go to Settings in the left menu, and select Integrations.
- Scroll down to Analytics Integrations and find Meta Pixel.
- Select View integration. This will make a pop-up appear:
- Click on the toggle next to Add your Meta Pixel to track user actions on donor-facing pages and create ads.
- Enter the pixel ID of your Meta Pixel. You can also add your Conversion API Access Token, if you like, but it isn't necessary.
